Birth- 5th Grade
At CityLight Church, we believe kids aren’t just the future of the church — they’re part of the church today. That’s why we partner with parents to help kids (birth through 5th grade) discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. City Kids is a safe, fun, and Christ-centered ministry where your children will be loved, taught God’s Word, and encouraged to grow in their faith.
Sunday Mornings
Breakfast at 9:30 AM
Start the morning with a free light breakfast for the whole family.
Equipping Hour (9:45 AM)
This is our primary children’s ministry time. Kids gather in age-specific classes for Bible teaching, worship, and activities:
Our volunteers are passionate about helping kids understand God’s Word and apply it to their lives.
- Nursery (0–2 years)
- Preschool–Kindergarten (ages 3–5)
- Elementary (1st–5th grade)
Worship Service (11:00 AM)
During worship, we offer:
- Nursery (0–2 years)
- Toddlers (ages 3–5)
From 1st grade and up, children join their parents in the sanctuary for worship. To help them engage, we provide:
- Activity bags & follow-along sheets (with a prize for completion!)
- A livestreamed space for parents to step out with kids if needed
- Grace and freedom to move in and out as necessary
- Church members available to assist if you need help
Check-In & Welcome
When you arrive, our volunteers will be ready to help you sign your kids in at the City Kids desk. You’ll receive a secure check-in tag, and our team will guide you to the right classrooms. If you’re new, don’t worry — we’ll walk with you every step of the way.
Safety is Our Priority
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All of our workers are thoroughly background-checked and trained to provide a secure and nurturing environment. To ensure the highest level of care, we always have at least two volunteers in every room.
Why Integrated Worship?
We believe kids need more than just age-specific teaching — they need to see and experience the church gathered in worship. That’s why 1st grade and up join us in the sanctuary. When children watch their parents sing, pray, and open God’s Word, it helps them see that worship is for the whole family of God, not just for adults.
